Music

Music is a unique way of communicating and can inspire and motivate children to show their own personal expression. Music plays an important part of personal development and can reflect the culture and society we live in. It is our aim that by the end of primary education the teaching and learning of music enables children to better understand the world we live in and helps children to feel part of a community. Children at Brinsworth Howarth have the opportunity to create, play, perform and enjoy music throughout their primary education in order to develop skills to be able to appreciate a wide variety of musical forms.

Every Tuesday, our Y3 class have a drumming lesson, while our Y4 class have a violin lesson. These lessons are delivered by Rotherham Music.
Parents/carers of KS2 children are also able to pay for their child to take music lessons by the Rotherham Music peripatetic teachers. We currently have pupils learning to play the guitar, violin and drums.

We are so proud to be a Music Mark school!
